Operations Support Coordinator

Remote (Canada-based; preference for Edmonton) | Entry Level | $30,000 | 6-Month Full-Time Contract

About Fairly Staffing
Fairly Staffing is transforming how dental clinics find temporary staff. Our platform connects clinics with qualified dental temps in real time via our app—filling shifts faster, reducing admin burden, and keeping patient care uninterrupted. We’re a small, growing team on a mission to build a better, fairer staffing experience for both clinics and temps across Canada.

This is a great opportunity to join an early-stage startup and get your foot in the door of the tech world—no tech background required. You’ll be exposed to many different parts of the business, have your ideas heard, and do real work that makes a real difference.

About the Role
We’re hiring an Operations Support Coordinator to support our customers and users (dental clinics and dental temps), help solve problems quickly, and contribute to internal operations. This role is ideal for someone at the start of their career who wants to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience in customer success, admin, recruiting, and tech.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the first line of support for user questions like “How do I post a shift?” or “How do I set up Fairly Payments?”
  • Reach out to temps when shifts are urgent or not filling fast enough
  • Reach out to temps to address and manage accountability issues (e.g. no-shows, last minute cancellations)
  • Assist in sourcing candidates for permanent recruitments
  • Support other admin and customer-related tasks across the company

Who You Are

  • An excellent communicator who’s helpful, kind, and very quick to respond
  • Comfortable with juggling multiple priorities and jumping into new things
  • Curious, adaptable, and not afraid to ask questions or figure things out
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage your time well
  • Passionate about doing meaningful work and growing your career

No tech background is required—just a willingness to learn and a desire to help people.

Eligibility Requirements

This role is supported by a government grant and has specific eligibility criteria. You can apply if you are:
  • Between the ages of 15 and 30 at the start of the internship
  • A post-secondary graduate (degree or diploma from a university, college, tech institute, or CEGEP)
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status
  • A first-time participant in a Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS) work experience program targeted at post-secondary graduates

Contract Details

  • Term: 6 months
  • Salary: $30,000 total for the contract
  • Location: Fully remote (preference for candidates based in Edmonton)
  • Hours: Full-time, with lots of flexibility. You’ll have control over your schedule when immediate or urgent work isn’t required—but you must be available during business hours to respond to time-sensitive tasks and customer needs.

Why Join Fairly?

  • Work at a fast-growing startup that’s transforming the dental staffing space
  • Gain hands-on experience across customer support, recruiting, operations, and tech
  • Be part of a collaborative, values-driven team that treats people fairly and gets things done
  • Build real skills and make an impact early in your career
  • Flexible, remote-first culture that values autonomy and trust
